Mirror

GENRE Why am I here?
I see judgement, I can't see clear
I don't know if the end is near
I see my reflection appear
I hate him, wish he could disappear
It's so hard to persevere
There's lots of people that I hear
But the worst one is the one in the mirror
He just repeats everything I know
Like how I can't control
My own thoughts, and how they won't go
In my boat, he's drilling holes
It's sinking down
And I never make a sound
Cause' I don't want anyone to worry
Can't see clear, it's getting blurry
He's affecting my vision
I can't even keep precision
He just doesn't ever listen
He just tells me his opinion
It makes me sick and
I gotta make a decision
But every time I try he's always winning
And I'm stuck in this position
So much corruption
He's got me trapped inside a dungeon
He always tells me that I'm nothing
And that's something that he's loving (loving)
I know it is
And I'm never showing it
If I do, he'll judge me about it
Will anybody care anyway? I doubt it
Can't keep running from my problems
I just gotta face it and solve em'
But whenever I do, they come right back
A day or two later, ready to attack
I don't care what you say, is that really true?
I try so hard to ignore you
I put up a fight, but I always lose
Then I fake a good attitude
I act tough, but I'm afraid
That this self doubt won't ever go away
I say I'm okay, but I'm not okay
No matter what I do, it doesn't change
It's the same
He reminds me of all my pain
It's like a beast that I can't tame
Wish that I could just grab the reins
But I can't do it
It always gets ruined
By the man in the mirror telling me I can't
I tell him I don't wanna hear him rant
But he never leaves
He just keeps watching me
Waiting for the perfect time to strike
He never lets me live my life
I try so hard, but it's so difficult
Everyone around me, they're so critical
I'm afraid that it's not fixable
I can't do this, it's not livable
It's my fault, that's admittable
He's always at his pinnacle
He makes my whole life miserable
Causing depression, he's additional
He's smiling ear-to-ear
He knows all my fears
He's a puppeteer
Controlling me, it's severe
When I'm happy, he interferes
And reminds me that he's still here
No matter what I do, he doesn't disappear
That's what happens when I look in the mirror
I see judgement, I can't see clear
I don't know if the end is near
